I’ve always believed that the soul of a workplace lives in its people, in the way they communicate, collaborate, and feel seen. My journey into People & Culture wasn’t a sudden pivot. It was a quiet unfolding. A deepening of the work I’ve always done: creating environments where teams feel supported, systems feel intuitive, and culture is something you live, not just talk about.
From Reception to Leadership: A Grounded Rise
I began my career as a receptionist at BodaHealth, a warm acupuncture clinic in Vancouver. It was there I first learned the rhythm of a clinic, the importance of presence, precision, and care. Within a year, I was promoted to Office Manager, not because I asked, but because I showed up with initiative, reliability, and a quiet leadership that made things run smoother.
When BodaHealth was acquired, I didn’t just manage the transition, I helped shape the future. The new clinic, Friday Health, became my canvas. I designed every protocol from scratch: patient intake, staff workflows, inventory systems, shift coverage, onboarding. Every detail was intentional. Every system was built to support both the business and the humans inside it.
Operational Architecture with a Human Touch
At Friday Health, I lead daily operations for a multidisciplinary team of 20. But my work goes far beyond logistics. I build systems that reduce friction, foster trust, and allow people to do their best work without burnout or confusion.
Some of my proudest contributions include:
- Cash Handling Protocols that are secure, transparent, and error-resistant
- Staff Efficiency Systems that streamline responsibilities and improve coordination
- Shift Coverage Structures that ensure flexibility without chaos
- Onboarding & Mentorship Programs that help new hires feel confident and connected
People & Culture: The Heart of My Work
What I love most is being the person people come to for answers and for support. I resolve conflicts with empathy. I listen without judgment. I create clarity when things feel messy. And I do it all with the belief that culture isn’t a perk, it’s a foundation.
My focus on People & Culture means:
- Designing workflows that honor how people actually work
- Creating feedback loops that encourage growth, not fear
- Supporting emotional wellbeing alongside operational excellence
- Building a workplace where respect, collaboration, and purpose are felt daily
A Feminine Approach to Leadership
My leadership is both intuitive and methodical, grounded in approaches I’ve actively tested and refined through real-world application, with proven results across diverse team environments. I lead with emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and a deep respect for the people I work with. I believe in clarity without rigidity, accountability without shame, and ambition that includes rest.
I’m currently pursuing a degree in Psychology because I believe that understanding systems and people is key to building workplaces (and communities) that truly work.
Looking Ahead
As I continue to grow in People & Culture, my goal is simple: to create environments where people feel safe, supported, and empowered. Where operations are smooth, culture is intentional, and every team member knows they matter.
Whether I’m designing a protocol, mentoring a new hire, or resolving a tough moment with grace, I bring my whole self to the work. And I believe that’s what makes the difference.
